Burn your house for charity?

I came across this article today from the Columbus Dispatch and wanted to share.  It seems that some people donate their old homes to local fire departments for firefighting practice.  IRS goes case by case on this and there are some lawsuits pending – still, I wanted to share this.  Please note, I am NOT advising this as a tax strategy!  (until further notice)
